Nice Surprises!

Upon our arrival home from Houston,  this beautiful floral arrangement was waiting for me…. DSCF9781

and for Ernie,   a cleaned off deck and side yard,  plus his carport had been cleaned and swept and the firewood neatly stacked.

WOW!   Both of us want to say “THANK YOU” to our daughter, Stacie!    She always surprises us with something…and after that trip,  it’s always welcome.

The kitties love it when Stacie is here as she spoils them rotten.   She loves all over them,  feeds them pretty much on-demand and lets them in the “forbidden” bedroom, lol.   They LOVE her.

We’re happy because we don’t have to worry about anything while we’re gone.  Stacie is a good house mom and the cats don’t even miss us.

Anyhow,  just wanted to show you the gorgeous flowers and say Thank You to Stacie and her family who graciously do without her when we need her here.   Cannot tell you how awesome it is to be able to call and have her say “no problem” and she’s always gracious about giving up her plans to be here.

I haven’t said much about the trip as it was rather unpleasant and we won’t have any results until we go back in March.   IMAG0090If anyone ever offers you gamma knife brain surgery….threaten them with death if they don’t numb you up at least 5 minutes ahead of time!  Having the “frame” put on was a very painful and unnerving experience.   The actual treatment was nothing.   Taking the frame off was no picnic either.  Hurt like the blazes.   They did give me drugs for that and the pain was shortlived.   The surgery has laid me low since Tuesday.   Makes you really tired, sore and crabby.  If you don’t believe me, just ask Ernie!  Sure he’s tired of dealing with me.

Once again,  they have made it official…I do have a functional brain!  that’s a good thing!

  1. Rest and know that people and kitties love you – whether they show it with flowers, with work in the yard, or with a head bonk and a purr…

  2. Oh my word! I’ve seen those stabilizers put on. They usually inject a bleb of novacaine under the skin where they are going to insert the screws, and it’s creepy but not all that painful. Are you a low resistant to locals like yer old auntie? It’s supposed to be genetic. Eeeeeeeeee….. girlie, I hurt FOR you. But that Stacie’s a doll. Kiss her for me for taking such good care of you.
    Love you lots,
