Announcing a new project! ~ Christmas Town Sampler ~

Do you love Mystery quilts?  Participate in Block of the Month projects?  Do you enjoy Blog Hopping?   Are you a scrappy quilter or a Stashbuster?  If these are your cup of tea, then you’ll enjoy our newest project!   Denise Russart has put together a terrific Christmas in July quilt project…then she invited some great friends to design blocks that will play well with her border blocks.   I am excited to be included as a designer :-)

You’ll find a new button in my sidebar.   Starting in July,  when you click on the button, you’ll be taken to my pattern page for the Christmas Town Sampler.   Each month July through October,  you’ll need to visit all 4 blogs to collect patterns for your quilt.   In November,  Denise will post the final information needed to finish your quilt.   And during the Blog Hopping,  who knows…there could be special treats for you to find!

For now, think about your stash and the colors you’d like to use.   I’ll be working in scraps (of course) as I’m still in Stashbusting mode…but this would work well as a controlled scrappy, or with a set color theme.

Christmas Town Sampler

A special collaboration with three very talented quilting friends,

This project is being offered as a Block of the Month, where the center will be Mystery blocks revealed monthly and which you will collect through Blog Hopping our blogs! Denise designed this great batch of border blocks while Judy, Sheryl and I will be designing the center blocks to replace the question marks.

Each month you will need to visit each of our blogs to collect our latest block revealed for that month. Instructions will be in pdf format download only. The final instructions to set everything all together will be posted on Denise’s blog in November. So start in July, finish in November, on your bed in December!

Yardage for the background in the border sections and plain borders will be posted in June. Yardage for the other fabrics used throughout the quilt will not be given as this is a great scrap friendly, stashbusting project. You’ll have fun choosing the necessary fabrics from your stash to make each block uniquely yours.

Please plan to join Denise, Judy, Sheryl, and I in making your own special Christmas Town Sampler and remember, all patterns are for your own use, not for resale.  Please invite your friends to visit our blogs for their own copies of the patterns.
