Kangaroo Paw Fern

I found this at the store…never seen it by this name.  The leaves are long, skinny and 3 lobed.   It’s a pretty plant and I had to have it!

It’s been nice enough the last few days that Ernie moved all the plants from the greenhouse to the deck for a little sun and fresh air.

They look relatively happy.

All of these plants have been going strong for 3 years and are now in need of being pinched off and fluffed out.  The plant in the foreground is some type of vining geranium and makes the prettiest little clusters of pink flowers.  The hummers love them!

Ernie spent several hours working on the roto-tiller.  He tilled up part of the garden, but the tiller needs more attention before he can finish.  I’m hoping to plant onions and get an area ready for tomatoes.   It won’t be long before the asparagus is poking through the ground!  I’m ready for SPRING!!!

  1. I’ll just have to look at your photos to “think spring” – we got ice and more ice on Sunday and snow on top. Yuck!
