Ernie’s surgery went well!!

We got to hospital on time.  Got him registered, dropped the co-payment.  From that point on it was hurry up and wait.  Surgery was several hours later than planned, but it all went well.  Now, we’re waiting on the pathology report, and praying there is no further evidence of the cancer.   Thank you all for your concerns and prayers.  God is good and we are truly blessed.

Daughter, Stacie and I left and drove home in blinding rain storm.  Son, Lance is at the hospital.  We’re hoping Ernie will be discharged in the AM.

For now, I need iced Green Tea, some meds and my nest on the couch.  Need to get this arm propped up and iced to reduce the swelling of being in a sling all day.

  1. I’m glad it went well, or as well as anything like this ever goes. Now we’ll pray for a positive result and that the two of you heal and prosper for many good years to come. Hugs to Stacie for being the practical extension of the love everyone in the family has for the two of you.

Have a good rest, pray the same for dear ole’ Ernie and safe in the arms of Jesus….

    Love you dearly,
    Deb

  2. Glad the surgery went well. And will pray that all is well with the biopsy and that he gets home soon. then you can both get on with healing and all the things you love to do.

We are having another round of heavy rain again. I know the cotton farmers are not happy with this. They were trying to get as much cotton harvested yesterday as they could.

It’s good you have family who can be there with you.

  3. So glad the surgery went well. I think that if one were ever on time, the place would disappear!

    Get some rest and tea.

Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

  8. Susan, I’m pleased to hear that one hurdle has been managed. That is how life works it seems, one hurdle at a time. This morning I’m sitting looking out at the ocean. The day is overcast and cool, typical fall weather. I’ll be forced to think about leaving this little summer nest and relocating back to civilization soon. I am so blessed to be able to stay here alone this year. sometimes when we believe that we have lost the battle, a turn of events gives us another opportunity to pursue the thingss we love. Bessings for your day
