Finally, a FINISH!!!!!!!!

Wanda and Stacie came to my rescue ~ one cut sashing, the other sewed the rows togethr.  This is the resulting quilt top.   It measures 50″ x 67″.

We didn’t get a real great picture as the sun was still shining and came through the top.  Makes it look like stained glass!  I’m just happy to see it done and ready to head off to a quilter.   It will eventually go to WAS for a Rotarian trip to Peru.

Thanks to my great friend and my youngest Daughter!  They have brightened my weekend!

Health woes ~~~

Think I’ve mentioned the shoulder problems before….well, after an x-ray revealed a tumor on the bone, I’ve been through a multitude of tests, scans, lab work and stuff.  It seems This tumor is destroying the bone.  I’ve had 2 radiation treatments and am on handfuls of pain pills.   I’ve also been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.   I’m not and have never been a smoker!  How did this happen?

I have to undergo a biopsy and eventually chemo.  In the meantime,  We’re reading all we can find on macrobiotic diets, cancer and nutrition.

I tell you this to emphasize that you need to sign up for my blog updates to be sure you receive all the BOM blocks.  They are set up to automatically post if I cannot do it.

If you are of a praying nature, all prayers are welcome.

All Points North and South August block posted!

Not only was the new block posted, but Wanda arrived about 9:30AM yesterday and cut the rest of my fabrics for the 2 quilts I’m making!   We had a nice visit, good lunch, and Wanda got lots done.  Thanks, Wanda!!

Now  I need to do some sewing to turn what she cut into these…

As if that wasn’t enough fun for the day, Stacie, our youngest Daughter made a surprise visit.   She’s able to stay until Monday.

That’s a relief for Ernie.  Gives him a little breather from caring for me.

Off to see about sewing!  This shoulder brace may be a problen, but maybe not an insurmountable one :-)
