More of Burkett

This is the original home of our former Postmistress…This was her parents original home built probably in the early 1900’s.   It’s been unoccupied and probabaly used for storage for the last 30-40 years.

It’s in pretty rough shape on the exterior, but still pretty cool.  It has a wrap around porch on three sides, tin roof and is pier and beam.   There is a cistern to the right, a huge Vitex bush in the front yard and the property is home to  the huge red rambler roses I showed you last month.   The kitties love sleeping on the porches and I’m sure they mouse under the house.

I love these old houses, barns and places.   They have so  much character.
