And so … “This is Christmas”…

JESUS is the Reason for the Season in our home.   We celebrate the birth of our Saviour in song and prayer.   We eat well, exchange gifts and thank GOD for all our many blessings.

This is our first white Christmas in years!   We had snow in 2004 on the 23 of Dec, but it had all melted before Christmas Day.  We woke up to a white world this morning.   The roads were icy, so traffic was non-existant….just peace and quiet.   Ernie added more wood to the fireplace, made coffee, fed kitties and I slept late!   I did snap a picture of the tree situation before we started on gifts.   Pretty shameful for just 2 adults, lol…but we enjoyed opening each and every one.  There were stockings and cards to be opened before we got to the gifts…unfortunately,  I didn’t get a picture.

Dinner was quick and easy.  Some ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, fruit salad, green salad, broccoli and foccoci bread!   For dessert, we cut the pecan pie.   We’ve napped and relaxed all afternoon.  The most exertion has been calling family and friends or answering the phones!   Wonderful day.

Now to get the Thank You cards made.   The first Thank You goes to the LORD our GOD for sending HIS son, for blessing our lives, our family and our friends.

I hope each of you has enjoyed a safe and Merry Christmas with your loved ones.
