is a cool place to visit!
Lots of quaint historical houses, cute boutiques and shops on the Square and a neat old Texas courthouse.
There were planters in front of one restaurant/shopping plaza downtown. Wouldn’t I love to have a pair of these in the garden!
Our conference was good, we learned a few things, reviewed others…and networked with other housing directors and managers. Always a good thing!
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. Pricey, but the bed…oh my! Heavenly! Perfect combination of firmness and soft pillowtop, a wonderful fluffy Euro style duvet…and an A/C that cranked down to 65° :)
Last night, we went to Granbury Live! The show was “The Beat Goes On” and it was great! Mostly 60-70’s music, professional stage show…think Branson, but smaller. We had 3rd row seats and the 2 hour show was over way too soon! There was a nice mix of music, banter about life in the 60’s and even a little standup comedy. They closed with Amazing Grace and The Star Spangled Banner while the huge screens to either side of the stage flashed a collection of photos featuring our troops. There couldn’t have been a dry eye in the house.
Wish I could’ve stayed another day as the Granbury Harvest Festival starts tomorrow and they had a big quilt show at the convention center. I snuck some peeks last night and then they let me wander through while they were hanging ribbons on winning quilts this afternoon. I’d love to have visited with the vendors, but they weren’t set up.
I drove the 3 hours home only to find the refrigerator/freezer is on the fritz again…some of you might remember the freezer saga of several months ago…it may be time to think about a NEW one.
